Brookdale Estate
Chef Gary Coetzee and his team at Brookdale Estate are wrapping up the popular Thursday night 'Fire and Wine' dinners at The Bistro, with the last 4 events taking place this month.

The relaxed mid-week dining experience at Brookdale Estate centres around a delicious, uncomplicated grilled dish that is paired with a complimentary glass of wine from the Mason Road range. This includes a Shiraz, the GSM red blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Petit Syrah, as well as a Chenin Blanc and the Serendipity Rosé.

On Thursday nights, diners will find Chef Gary in his favourite spot behind the grill, while they sip a glass of wine and cosy up next to the central fireplace. The theme changes weekly, starting this week with Venison Night on 12 September offering a choice between kudu fillet and gemsbok loin with side dishes; followed by burgers and fat cut fries on 19 September. Curry Night on 26 September will be a highlight in the current series with Tandoori-style lamb rump butter chicken served with coconut and cinnamon rice and condiments. The series will conclude on 3 October with Prawn Night: king prawns on the grill. Optional side dishes that may be added.

For those wanting to make a night of it out in the Paarl Winelands, luxury accommodation is available in the Manor House on the estate. Brookdale is offering its Hibernation bed and breakfast rate of R7 000 per room per night until 30 September 2024, and on Thursday nights, will include the Fire and Wine dinner at the Bistro on a complimentary basis. (Subject to availability and excluding extras, additional drinks and service)

The Bistro is open for lunch from Wednesdays to Sundays and serves dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Adjacent to The Bistro, the Tasting Room is open daily from 11h00 to 17h00 (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays), offering visitors the opportunity to taste wines grown on the estate, vinified by winemaker, Kiara Scott Farmer.
