From the meticulous pruning preparations in Rijk's vineyards to the joy of full dams brimming with much-needed rainwater, and the breathtaking sight of snow-capped mountains, this season has brought a mix of hard work and natural beauty.
Vineyard pruning
July marks an important time for us as we begin the annual pruning of our vineyards. This essential process helps us prepare for a fruitful growing season ahead. Our dedicated team is meticulously working to ensure that each vine is carefully tended to, setting the stage for a successful harvest in the coming months. The cool winter air makes for perfect conditions to get this important task done with precision and care.
Winter's gifts
Full dams and snow-capped mountains. We are thrilled to report that recent rains have filled our dams to the brim. This much-needed rainfall is a blessing for our vineyards and the surrounding landscape, ensuring that we have ample water resources as we move into the growing season.
Adding to the winter charm, we’ve recently witnessed snowfall on the surrounding mountains. The picturesque snow-capped peaks offer a stunning backdrop to our winery and hotel, enhancing the serene winter atmosphere and creating a magical setting for all who visit.
