The event will be held on Thursday, 1 August 2024 from 18h30 - 21h30, and promises to be another memorable evening for Cabernet fans and wine lovers alike.
The Stellenbosch wine region is heralded as the premiere Cabernet Sauvignon producing area of South Africa and our members are excited to showcase not only their current vintages, but also treat guests with older vintages from their cellar collections. This is a rare opportunity to taste older Stellenbosch Cabernet vintages that are seldom offered to the public, making it a must-attend event for all Cabernet enthusiasts.
Guests can expect some stellar wines from the award winning 2019 and 2021 vintages, as well as older examples, some from the early 2000’s. This comparative tasting format will allow guests the chance to experience first-hand how well Cabernet from Stellenbosch can age and discuss the different vintages with like-minded experts and enthusiasts.
All guests will receive a complimentary glass of wine on arrival whilst enjoying the sunset at the stunning Waterford Estate, listen to live music, taste Cabernet Sauvignon from over 25 wineries and enjoy paired canapés. The tasting also includes a specially selected Riedel tasting glass for you to take home at the end of the evening.
