The Wine Pod in winter
The Wine Pod is our unique tasting room on the Stellenzicht estate. It was designed to bring nature into the structure. Because of this, when you are enjoying a glass of elegant Stellenzicht wine and a delicious pizza, you will feel as if you are miles away from the city (although you are only 5km away from town).
With breathtaking views of the Stellenbosch and Helderberg mountains on either side of the pod, it truly is a place where you can come to relax and unwind from the business of life while enjoying good wine, tasty food and great company.
The Wine Pod is a magical summer destination, filled with blooming flowers and flitting dragonflies all around our lush vineyards.
With the turn of the weather, our nature-drenched structure takes on a new life. One where the young dragonflies return to the water to feed, the birds migrate to warmer climates and our roaring indoor fireplace is a constant fixture. The sound of popping corks and warm laughter fills the cosy Wine Pod space as we embrace winter! We can’t wait to host you as it gets colder but make a note of these operating time changes...

Our guests have enjoyed the Wine Pod 7 days a week since December 2023, but it is now time for us to revert back to our winter operating hours after the 14th May 2024:

A winter break
After an immensely successful festive season, the Wine Pod needs some much-needed maintenance! We will be closing for a short while in July to do just that. But don’t worry, it won't be for long!
