Join Paul Clüver and Andries Burger in conversation with Johann De Wet from De Wetshof for an afternoon of wine tasting and enjoyment, accompanied by the culinary masterpieces of renowned chef Bertus Basson. Paul Clüver Family Wines

The history of Paul Clüver Family Wines goes back to 1896 when the first generation of the Clüver family began farming on the De Rust farm in Elgin. Four generations of the Clüvers' pioneering spirit in agriculture and conservation has led to today’s status of Paul Clüver Family Wines as a leading producer of world-class noble varietal wines. The wine farm is a specialist in award-winning, cool climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines.

Paul Clüver Family Wines pursues sustainable agriculture and winemaking and has been given international recognition for its farming practices.

De Wetshof Estate

The name De Wetshof has been synonymous with the production of fine wines in South Africa since the 1970s. As the first registered wine estate in the Robertson Wine Valley, De Wetshof Estate has become known internationally as South Africa’s eminent Chardonnay House due to the pioneering role it played in introducing this noble Burgundian grape to the country.

Today, De Wetshof is one of the few third-generation wine estates in South Africa. Here Johann de Wet has taken-up the role of CEO and is also responsible for De Wetshof’s vineyards, while brother Peter runs finances and logistics. Both are also actively involved in winemaking and strategy along with their father Danie.
