What's on at Muratie this March

Muratie
March is a busy month indeed with diverse activities for everyone to enjoy at Muratie, Stellenbosch.

The ancient oaks at Muratie Wine Estate are shedding their leaves and acorns aplenty. The colours on the farm are steadily changing from green to yellow, orange, brown and red. All sure signs that autumn is here, but our cellar team is still hard at work. This week we harvested our prized twenty-three-year-old block of Hanepoot (Muscat d'Alexandrie) for the enigmatic, alluring Amber Forever dessert wine. The red grapes are coming in thick and fast too, with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz all showing exceptional promise for the 2024 vintage.

Join us for our upcoming events, or simply to enjoy a leisurely lunch or wine tasting. The beautiful palette of autumn beckons for a long walk on the werf, or take the time to explore our scenic Simonsberg hiking or MTB trails.

16-17 March - Muratie Harvest Festival

18 March - Marié Stander School of Art Auction 2024

On Monday, 18 March, we proudly host the Marié Stander School of Art Auction 2024 at Muratie Wine Estate. This lovely evening of art, food, wine and music raises funds for local children in need, with a particular focus on education.

Tickets for the event are available directly from the students or Jessie at jessiestrydom@gmail.com
