Zevenwacht Wine Estate holds a very special place in JAN's heart, serving as the backdrop to the beginnings of his culinary journey. Fresh out of high school, Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen embarked on a transformative experience in the Cape Winelands, where Zevenwacht ran its exemplary culinary school.
It was at Zevenwacht that Jan's love affair with wine blossomed. Immersed in the winemaking process alongside some of the best winemakers in Stellenbosch, Jan found himself captivated by the art and science of winemaking. Those early days became the foundation for his profound connection to the world of wine, a passion that has endured and is now reflected in every bottle of JAN Wines.
"My journey from Middelburg to Paris, Monaco and Nice may have awakened my appetite to the finer things in life, but whether enjoying oysters on the Riviera, springbok carpaccio in the Kalahari, or sardines and cheddar on toast, I believe that every moment in life is precious, and worth celebrating with a great bottle of wine.

JAN Chenin Blanc Chardonnay Viognier Roussanne 2023
The 2023 JAN White Blend is a blend of Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier and Roussanne. Complex and elegant, the wine shows mandarin, white nectarine, apricot and floral spice on the nose with subtle oak spice undertones. The palate is focussed with a bright acidity and a long savoury finish.
This wine is delicious with full flavoured grilled fish, sumptuous lobster and avocado salad, or creamy chicken dishes.
