South Africa’s Cabernet Sauvignon Capital, Stellenbosch, is gearing up for a spectacular evening of fine wine at Waterford Estate during the popular Wine Town week. The annual 'Cabernet Through the Ages' tasting will be held on Thursday, 3 August, and promises to be an unforgettable experience for all wine enthusiasts.
From 18h00 until 21h00, guests will have the opportunity to meet the winemakers and sample over 60 wines on display. The event will showcase a current vintage and an older interesting vintage for tasting from each Stellenbosch Cabernet member winery.
Guests can expect some stellar vintages on offer including the illustrious 2015 and 2017, as well as older examples from the early 2000’s. This comparative tasting format will allow guests the chance to experience first hand how well Cabernet from Stellenbosch can age and discuss the different vintages with like-minded experts and enthusiasts.
All guests will receive a complimentary glass of Waterford wine on arrival whilst enjoying the sunset at the stunning Waterford Estate, listen to live music, taste Cabernet Sauvignon from over 25 wineries and enjoy paired canapés.
