The Manor restaurant manager Jerry Kennedy says: "We're a family-friendly establishment and devise our offerings to cater to young and old. Come wind down at The Manor, while we take care of the rest!”
Easter
Easter will be celebrated the entire month of April, with blackboard specials featuring traditional local flavours like hot-cross buns and pickled fish - a winning match with our Heritage Heroes The Anchor Man Old Vine Chenin Blanc, according to our white wine specialist, Pieter Badenhorst.
There'll also be scrumptious Easter platters available, served al fresco on the manor house stoep. These cost R500 per platter with meat, vegetables, salads, bread and more, and includes a bottle of our Première Cuvée Brut sparkling wine, or a bottle of any wine from our The Winemasters collection.
Or chill out under the age-old trees in our garden, while feasting on Easter-inspired picnic fare including hot-cross buns and pickled fish, cheese and preserves, beef bitterballen, BBQ chicken wings, sweet and sour pork ribs, fresh garden salad and vegetable crisps, ending with decadent chocolate Easter egg brownie squares.
Offered at R540 per picnic basket, serving two adults, it also comes with a bottle of our Première Cuvée Brut Brut sparkling wine, or a bottle of any wine from our The Winemasters collection. Soft drinks, mineral waters, beers, ciders, and hot beverages can be added, at an additional cost.
The Manor’s generous picnics include all your picnic needs such as crockery, cutlery, glasses, napkins, a blanket and comfy cushion. Vegetarian and kids’ picnics are available (please chat to the team for more details).
There'll also be exciting lawn games like giant Jenga (yes, also for adults!), and a lovely play area for children to enjoy.
Picnics need to be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
In addition to all the above, the Easter weekend (7 to 10 April) will offer fun easter egg hunts and lawn games, for adults as well as children. These are scheduled to take place on each day of the long weekend - at 10:00 for kids (R30 participation fee, including an Easter treat, with one overall winner receiving a chocolate hamper), and at 11:00 for adults (R50 fee, including a glass of refreshing sparkling wine). Adult participants stand a chance of winning a variety of prizes, from wines to picnics and tasting vouchers.
Sunset Stoep Sessions
Our late-afternoon Sunset Stoep Sessions are not to be missed! Sit back and listen to some soulful music by a range of top-notch local musicians, while enjoying fine wines and tasty eats. Our famous amasi chicken burger with crunchy pickled cabbage and celery ranch dressing is also on offer - a great pairing with our The Winemasters Chardonnay
Guests above the age of 18 receive a complimentary sundowner.
Children are welcome and catered for too.
Live performances start at 15h00. Entrance is free, but booking is essential.

Menu items start at R65 per dish, with the milk and cookie pairing priced at R95 and cupcake decorating at R110 per child.
It's essential to pre-book for children's parties and picnics.
Mother's Day (14 May)
We're going all out this year, with a fabulous take-home gift for moms, regardless of whether you join us for breakfast or lunch.
The breakfast menu, served from 08h00 until 11h30, costs R195 per person and includes a coffee or mimosa on arrival, yoghurt and muesli with caramelised nuts, and your choice of hot breakfast from three options (a breakfast poke bowl, shakshuka, or The Manor's traditional breakfast).
Lunch, served from 11h30 until 16h00, will be a family-style feast, at only R350 per person. It will feature a bread board and pâtés, a main dish (choose between seared rainbow trout, basil gnocchi and roasted tomato and toasted walnuts, or slow-braised oxtail with red wine jus) as well as a tasty selection of sides including seasonal roasted vegetables, chickpea salad, potato wedges, butternut and dukkha. Dessert is strawberry cheesecake served with passion fruit coulis and shortbread.
Musical entertainment in the afternoon will set the scene for a relaxing Sunday spent celebrating mom!
