JC Le Roux
The JC Le Roux Scintilla Vintage Reserve 2015 has been awarded Double Gold in the 2022 Michelangelo Awards as well as Double Gold at the Amorim Cap Classique Challenge 2022.

In its 26th year, the Michelangelo International Wine and Spirits Awards is Africa’s largest wine and spirits competition and remains unique in Africa in that all judges are hand-picked wine experts, hailing from five different continents. While the Amorim Cap Classique Challenge is held annually since 2022 and focusses more specifically on recognising exceptional naturally-fermented sparkling wines, known as Méthode Cap Classique. Both prestigious accolades are adjudicated by an esteemed panel of professionals and is a joyous accomplishment for J.C. Le Roux’s flagship Scintilla Vintage Reserve 2015.

The award-winning Scintilla 2015 is crafted according to the time-honoured French method by initiating a second fermentation of the base wine in the bottle to create that iconic sparkle we all love in a delicious glass of MéthodeCap Classique. J.C. Le Roux’s Winemaker, Matthys Botes, carefully selects only the best quality Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes traditionally used in the making of French Champagne for J.C. Le Roux’s Scintilla. Having spent 54 months on the lees with the sediment removed by traditional methods, J.C. Le Roux ScintillaVintage Reserve 2015 is dry, soft and elegant with fresh citrus notes from the Chardonnay and a full-mouth feel derived from the Pinot Noir grapes.

In the spirit of joy and celebration, the House of J.C. Le Roux along with the Michelangelo International Wine and Spirits Awards and Amorim Cap Classique Challenge 2022 panels, raise a glass to the beautifully crafted J.C. Le Roux Scintilla Vintage Reserve 2015.
