Vergelegen Wine Estate, a provincial heritage site, will host Helderberg Fresh.
The Helderberg Fresh Fine Wine & Food Festival takes place in Somerset West on Saturday 3 December, in the exquisite setting of 322-year-old Vergelegen Wine Estate.
More than 20 Helderberg top wineries will offer over 100 wines to swirl, sip and savour, while the Helderberg’s most talented chefs will vie to create the most tempting gourmet food, all included in the ticket price.
Guests will be treated to diverse culinary styles, including Michael Bridgeman of Stables Restaurant at Vergelegen; renowned Lebanese-born chef Ghenwa Steingaszner representing Ghenwa’s Culinary Club at Lourensford; Stefan Bekker of Erinvale Hotel; and Botanicum at Morgenster. Craig Cormack and Beau du Toit will represent SALT at Waterford Estate, while Bertus Basson will be in attendance with a collaboration between Chorus at Waterkloof Vineyards and Clara’s Barn at Vergenoegd Löw.

Entertainment includes live music from singer-songwriter Gerry Liberty.
Participating wineries for 2022 include Vergelegen, Morgenster, Journey’s End, Eikendal Vineyards, Cavalli, Pink Valley, Ken Forrester, Hidden Valley, Ernie Els Wines, Peter Falke Wines, Waterford Estate, Stellenrust, Kleine Zalze, Dornier, Vergenoegd Löw, and more.
Vergelegen is a provincial heritage site renowned for its lush gardens, historic trees, architecture and culture, so it forms the perfect backdrop for this exceptional event.
Tickets are R750 each and are all-inclusive. Tickets are available from Quicket or participating wineries. The event runs from 14h00 to 18h00.
