September is a special time at Warwick: our picnic season has begun with exciting new picnic menus and a new Harvest Table experience, and we’re celebrating Heritage Day!

Join us in honouring our roots with our First Lady Pinotage 2020. This award-winning wine, hot off its Double Gold Awards from the Michelangelo International Wine and Spirits Awards, is the perfect addition to any Heritage Day picnic, braai, or shisa nyama.

Join us in embracing our country’s rich cultural heritage and diverse traditions by celebrating togetherness.

Visit Warwick Wine Estate and enjoy a limited edition heritage-themed picnic, including flame-grilled brisket and roosterkoeke baked over warm coals, available on Saturday (24 September) and Sunday (25 September).

Bring the whole family or your friends; we’ve got great food, stellar wine and good vibes!

Our Pinotage

While it is recognised globally as one of the country’s most beloved signature varietals today, the history of Pinotage in the Cape dates back to the 1920s when it was an experimental wine.

Much like our legendary First Lady, Norma Ratcliffe, the First Lady Pinotage is light and lively yet packs a delightful punch. You can expect an abundance of rich black cherries, ripe strawberry elements, and the tell-tale cured meat aromas synonymous with a Pinotage. All components are aged in oak, adding a silky finish with hints of spice.

Grab a bottle of our First Lady Pinotage, and let’s raise a glass to this unique part of this South African story.

HERE’S TO THE PAST, THE PRESENT AND OUR EXCITING FUTURE!
