PYDA
PYDA is currently looking for temporary work placements for their wine and marketing students in the local wine industry.

This is a kind request for the wine industry to host our wine and marketing students for temporary work placements/internships. The first placement is for 2 weeks from 18 June to 1 July 2022, and the second placement is for four weeks from 12 September to 7 October 2022.

Pinotage Youth Development Academy (PYDA) develops 18-25 year old, talented, previously disadvantaged South Africans for employment in the FMCG, wine sales and marketing, digital economy, and related sectors. The curriculum is fully integrated across the value chain and combines industry-specific technical skills with in-programme workplace practical and critically, personal life skills and emotional intelligence development.

Strict workplace policies and procedures during the programme enable graduates to enjoy accelerated integration into the world of employment.

Our programme follows the value chain of the wine industry specialising in marketing and sales. The academy offers a hybrid approach to learning which is face to face and online learning to ensure digital inclusion for our youth. The classroom learning is immediately embedded in practice with an internship opportunity in the Wine Industry within Wineries.

Experiential learning is a compulsory component of our programmes in order for our students to gain experience in real work life situations. The work place is the only place where this objective can be achieved.

The support of the wine industry is absolutely essential in this regard. It is against this background that we kindly request industry employers to host students for work placement/internship.
