Neethlingshof
Neethlingshof's first release from this year's harvest is the 2022 vintage of the incredibly popular Neethlingshof Estate Pinotage Rosé.

A bottle of Neethlingshof Estate Pinotage Rosé 2022.

We take great care to adhere to strict vegan guidelines during the entire farming and winemaking process using ZERO animal products traditionally used in winemaking.

Instead of using animal products derived from milk, eggs, and fish used to fine and clarify the wine before bottled, Neethlingshof makes use of plant-derived protein instead, making our wine accessible to all vegans and vegetarians.

The Pinotage grapes were handpicked in mid-March 2022 and sourced from a south-east facing vineyard planted in 1993, 125m above sea level. The grapes were then crushed and destalked. The juice was immediately separated from the skins to prevent too much colour extraction.

Fermentation took place over 10 days in stainless steel tanks at temperatures of around 14°C. After fermentation, the wine was allowed a short time on the lees before being prepared for bottling. Only a light fining was needed to ensure the stability of the wine before final filtration. The first bottling took place in April 2022.

It's a dry, light to medium-bodied wine, with summertime aromatics of ripe red apple, candied cherry, raspberry, and a hint of strawberry yogurt with flavors of sour cherry, nectarine, and pomegranate with elements of ruby grapefruit on the finish.

And now, it’s officially available for you to taste end enjoy!

Our cellarmaster De Wet Viljoen recommends you enjoy the wine on its own or served with salmon or prawn pasta, carpaccio, sushi, smoked cold meats as well as salads. Also a great match with fruit-based desserts or strawberries drizzled with balsamic vinegar.
