The organisers of the Johannesburg Cap Classique & Champagne Festival have announced an early-bird ticket special for the event which takes place on Saturday 9 April to Sunday 10 April at the Inanda Polo Club in Sandton from 11h00 - 16h00.
The event – proudly sponsored by Sanlam Private Wealth – will feature some of South Africa’s finest Cap Classiques including Anthonij Rupert's L’Ormarins, Siwela Wines, Bon Courage, La Bri, and Graham Beck. There will also be selection of France’s best champagne houses such as Taittinger, Bollinger and Nicolas Feuillatte, and well-known Italian prosecco brands. More producers will be announced soon.
Says spokesperson Darielle Robertson: “If festival-goers book before midnight on Tuesday 15 March, they will pay only R350 per person as opposed to the regular ticket price of R395 pp. A saving of R45 pp.”
The price includes a souvenir bubbly glass and 10 tasting coupons.
Adds Robertson: “The Johannesburg Cap Classique & Champagne Festival has proved to be enormously popular with the 2019 show completely sold out a week before the event took place while tickets for the 2020 show were selling like hotcakes before we had to cancel due to the pandemic. Last year’s festival was cancelled due to lockdown restrictions.
“Gautengers are going to want to make up for two years of no bubbly festival, so booking will be essential as there is a limit to the number of guests permitted at the venue.”
“The festival will have an elegant, chic garden party feel with a blue and white dress theme and a prize of an Okapi handbag awarded each day to the best dressed, but it should be stressed that all guests must be vaccinated in order to attend,” says Robertson.
Food from a variety of stalls and stations will satisfy festival goers' hunger pangs and live music courtesy of Veronique Lalouette will add to the ambience.
Says Carl Roothman, CEO of Sanlam Private Wealth: “We are excited to partner this luxury lifestyle event once again - it provides us with an ideal platform to collaborate with fellow experts in their craft and create an exclusive experience for guests.”
