Perdeberg
Celebrating the spirit of togetherness, collaboration and optimism for the future, Perdeberg Cellar has proudly launched SAAM.

Chantelle Boucher, Marketing Manager at Perdeberg, says: “At Perdeberg we are committed to make a difference through being good to our people and the earth. In line with this ethos, we believe that SAAM is the perfect addition to our product range and perfectly describes the heart of our winemaking process to create an exemplar wine.”

The ultimate wine is the one we create together. Capturing the spirit of ubuntu, SAAM means “together” in Afrikaans, defining the qualities that create this beautiful new range.

Perdeberg’s aim with the launch of SAAM as a Fairtrade brand in the local market is to make a positive impact on people’s lives. “With our existing following, we can make a change for the better in a disadvantaged community that is directly connected to the brand. Looking ahead, Perdeberg will provide much needed infrastructure and skills development to empower the community as a society,” continues Boucher.

A total of 72 workers and 20 families who work at the grape producing vineyards in South Africa’s Paarl Wine Valley, are currently supported through the Fairtrade social premiums generated.

“Each purchase ensures that our vineyard workers and their families benefit from community projects and our producers remain sustainable. We believe that SAAM pairs perfectly with remarkable people, places, and causes. By enjoying this wine you complete the circle,” concludes Boucher.

Perdeberg is well-known amongst consumers for consistent quality with various accolades achieved. The team at the estates is thrilled to add SAAM to its wine offering.
