Wellington Wines
At Wellington Wines we are very passionate about Pinotage, as this cultivar really flourishes in the soil and mountain terrain of the valley. It is a very versatile cultivar that can be used in a lot of different wine styles.

The whole concept around our White Pinotage was to create an elegant light wine that can be enjoyed cold and show the quality and innovation of the winemaking team. All the grapes are from bush vine vineyards that grows in the Wellington area.

By the time the grapes are harvested, the sugar levels are between 22.5-23 balling and gives the grapes a natural acidity that supports and enhances the fruit flavors. The juice is then protected from oxygen by using dry ice and the skins are removed almost immediately. The short skin contact gives the rose gold color to the wine. The wine is then cold fermented until ready to be bottled.

This is not just another Blanc de Noir or Rosé to us; this really shows the delicate side of Pinotage.

This wine showcase of the versatility of the uniquely South African Pinotage. The rose gold color which hues elude the subtle stone fruit and creaminess of the wine. The wine can be enjoyed with seafood, poultry, and rich desserts.
