Judy

Our very own CFO (chief food organizer) loves pairing a good meal with an equally delicious glass of wine. Cederberg Bukettraube 2021 - A floral Bukettraube with notes of chamomile and white blossom aromas. Hints of apricot, dried fruit, and honeydew follow through on the palate. Semi-Sweet on the palate that leads to a sensational creamy finish. A great food pairing wine.

Michelle

Manager of advertising & CellarDirect merchandising - always ready to clink a glass of bubbles, Michelle loves the Graham Beck Brut Rosé NV is her choice of tipples. This wine has a unique pale silver-pink hue. Aromas of raspberries, cherries, and a few secondary whiffs of minerality. A lively mousse, but fine in the mouth, with subtle red berry flavours enlivened by bright acidity. Brisk, yet delicate on the palate, bursting with flavours of freshly crushed berries and hints of oyster shell. Flirtatious and fun, yet elegant and structured, it’s perfect for all seasons and settings.

Trudie

Trudie, our dessert queen in the office and lover of all things dessert wine and patisserie. The Org de Rac Chardonnay 2021 shows irresistible aromas of tropical fruit that are beautifully balanced by subtle oak and follow through on the palate. The lingering finish rewards with titillating lime and gorgeous butterscotch.
Xanthe

Passionate about numbers and wines, Xanthe enjoys a bottle of the elegant Springfield Estate The Work of Time 2015 the red blend displays an array of aromas: dark berries, smoke, cedar, iron, tobacco, pepper and liquorice. The flavours on the palate include cherry, berry and tobacco.
Leroy

Content editor intern and avid sneakerhead enjoys an occasional glass of the 2017 La Motte Syrah. This syrah from Franschhoek contains a natural fruitiness that includes hard-pear and mulberry. The Durif provides colour, plum fruit and texture. One of the vineyard blocks well exposed to shade, yields black pepper spice, clearly noticeable on the palate. Wood flavours are well integrated and the palate has a creamy texture.
Erica

Erica is one of the new kids on the block here. A passionate mum and avid adventurer in her time off she unwinds with a chilled glass of Flagstone Poetry Cinsault Rosé 2020. Expressive juicy berry flavours, follow through on the palate with a soft, delicious fruity finish.

Niel

Our CellarDirect manager, when he's not managing multiple orders in the shop, Niel enjoys a chilled glass of the award-winning 2021 Babylonstoren Candide. This intriguing white blend expresses a fresh, fruit-driven wine with peach, lime and litchi flavours. The wine is refreshing yet complex, with lovely tropical flavours rounded off with lingering, fresh acidity.

Dominique

WSET Level 3 educated wine writer and recently appointed digital media manager for wine.co.za, doesn't need any excuse to pop open a bottle of MCC. Particularly, an elegant Cap Classique from Simonsig such as the Kaapse Vonkel Brut 2019 with a light golden hue and fine persistent mousse. Fresh apple, white peach, and citrus blossom entice on the nose. A refined palate shows bursts of lemon, stone fruits, and raspberry with a hint of yeasty complexity. Beautiful acidity contributes extraordinary length and finesse to this Cap Classique, making every occasion a memorable celebration.
