The farm's history dates back more almost 330 years. In 1993 the current owner, Anne Cointreau, bought the 213-hectare estate. She is a member of the renowned Cointreau family from the Cognac region of France. Vineyards are planted on more than 70 hectares of the farm.
The restorations and upgrades made by Cointreau include the building of an underground maturation cellar which can house up to 2 000 French oak wine barrels. The estate can trace its winemaking history back to the French Huguenots. It is situated along a popular wine tourism route and offers various hospitality options.
