Bubbly Box by Wine Road is a South African first: the only online boutique store to focus exclusively on Cap Classique. Launched earlier this year, it is on track to stock the largest range of local sparkle available online.
“We love bubbly! All the local gems aren’t always known or easy to find and so we wanted to bring them together in one place so more people can discover and experience the joy of South African Cap Classique”, says Elli Yiannakaris, co-founder of Bubbly Box.
The Women Winemakers Collection Case is the first of Bubbly Box’s quarterly curated cases that will help you to discover great bubbly and learn as you taste with winemaker stories, tasting notes and other fun tips included for every bottle. Each quarterly case ensures you will try different styles, varieties and vintages of Cap Classique.
“The collection case is our way of celebrating South Africa’s incredible women winemakers and highlighting the people behind each bottle. It made sense that as women founders, our first curated case should be to celebrate other women”, says Elli. “It was also important to us to promote our world-class Cap Classique and the South African wine industry, which we know has had a challenging 2020/21.”
The curated “Bubbly Box” features the following winemakers: Melissa Nelsen (Genevieve Rosé), Zanie Viljoen (L`Ormarins Blanc de Blanc 2013), Anneke Potgieter (Canto Chardonnay Brut 2018), Narina Cloete (Blaauwklippen Brut 2019), Melanie van der Merwe (Tanzanite Brut), Elunda Basson (Steenberg 1682 Pinot Noir).
