Staying true to its bold and powerful persona, the Roxton Black 2017 vintage has recently been awarded 90 points in the much-anticipated 2020 South Africa report by British Wine Master, Tim Atkin.

Now in its 8th edition, the annual report covers everything from climatic impact, political influence, and of course, the devastating effects COVID-19 has had on the South African Wine Industry, and has become a valuable benchmark for growers, producers and consumers alike. Brampton is therefore thrilled to have received this score on the maiden release of Roxton Black.

Made from 100% pedigree Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, this new release into the Roxton Series expresses the masculine firmness you would expect in a Cabernet Sauvignon with wonderful length and a juicy fruit core. Seamless integration oak spice, excellent tannin structure, entwined with complexity, adds real depth and character to this fine wine.

A strong testament to the importance of quality fruit from great growers and their premium sites, understanding the demands of the fine wine consumer, and dedicated winemaking practices, producing exceptional wines that will deliver consistent quality over time. Congratulations to our winemaking team for once again making us proud.
