Cap Classique Association
An exciting addition to the yearly wine calendar is #CapClassiqueDay, celebrated every year on the 01st of September. This initiative was started in 2019 by the Cap Classique Producers Association (CCPA). We believe that something as fantastic as Cap Classique deserves its own day on the wine calendar!

#CapClassiqueDay has a simple purpose, to encourage like-minded people from different walks of life to unite their passion and love for bubbly. In the weeks leading up to #CapClassiqueDay there will be plenty of activations and fun competitions trending on social media, offering the perfect opportunity for all enthusiasts to show their love and support.

The first bottle of Cap Classique was produced by Simonsig in 1971, marking an outstanding accomplishment that will forever be solidified in South African winemaking history. In 2021, we will be celebrating 50 years of Cap Classique with a series of exciting activations both locally and abroad. The Cap Classique legacy lies rooted in South African heritage; it celebrates equality, diversity and is unapologetically one of a kind. Perfected by time is a caption that truly embodies Cap Classique, as it takes a minimum of 9 months to produce a single bottle.

Updates via the CCPA social media channels leading up to #CapClassiqueDay will culminate in a fantastic day of bubbles on Tuesday 01st of September 2020. Be sure to join the conversation, and when posting remember to use #CapClassiqueDay and tag the CCPA, so the bubbly vibes can be spread.

Become a part of the Cap Classique journey with us on 01st September and share in the excitement. After all, we need something to celebrate! Pop the cork, show your support and toast to Cap Classique!
