Bouchard Finlayson
Hermanus Fynarts Festival - 5-16 June 2020

In celebration of the arts in South Africa and the 2020 Hermanus FynArts Festival in particular,  Bouchard Finlayson has announced its sponsorship of the Tollman Bouchard Finlayson Art Award for the seventh consecutive year. This prestigious national art competition will carry a significant prize value of R45 000 in 2020, which will be allocated at the judges’ discretion.

Uniquely, all the art works entered into this competition are required in circular format, also known as ‘tondo’, at a minimum of 40cm and a maximum of 60cm in diameter. The intriguing theme for 2020 is ‘Biomimicry – design inspiration from nature’. Sixty to seventy finalists will be selected by a panel of 5 judges and those art works will be on sale and displayed on wine barrel heads in the atmospheric Bouchard wine cellar. The exhibition will run daily for the duration of the Fynarts Festival but remain on display in the cellar until 31 August 2020 to provide artists with maximum exposure to local and international visitors to wine estate.
