Backsberg
According to Lorraine Immelman, founder and CEO of the Michelangelo Awards: “The quality of [this year’s] wines were at a noticeable all-time high….” As such, 25 trophies, 13 platinum medals and 146 double gold medals were awarded in both the wine and spirits categories.
Backsberg is proud to announce that not only did our collaborative Shoprite Checkers Shiraz 2018 bag a double gold but both the Backsberg Merlot 2018 and Klein Babylons Toren 2016 dazzled by receiving gold. The Chenin Blanc 2019 was also awarded a silver medal.
We couldn’t be happier with these results and look forward to seeing how these wines develop over time.
