Joyous July! During an unusual bout of sunny weather during the Cape winter we visited Morgenster for the Winemag Cape Bordeaux Red Blend Report, we witnessed the introduction of new cellar master Elunda Basson at Steenberg, visited the fabulous Old Road Co. in Franschhoek and brushed up on our wine knowledge with Winetech!

Jacqueline Lahoud at the Cape Bordeaux Red Blend Report

We took a trip to Morgenster to witness the results of the Cape Bordeaux Red Blend Report.with Winemag. A fantastic time was had, with recognition being shown towards the wines and winemakers who've made great strides in the field of South African Bordeaux style red blends.

Introduction of Elunda Basson at Steenberg

We joined the team at Steenberg in wishing Elunda Basson a warm welcome and a great congratulations on her newest step in her career, as the new Cellar Master.

Old Road Co.

Our beloved Franschhoek also known as the French Corner of the Western Cape is often bustling with tourists. There is no shortage of things to do or leisure places to stay. Centuries-old vineyards adorn the valley and Cape Dutch architecture stands strong. For the nature lovers there is Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve, with views overlooking the valley. But I was more interested in hanging out at Old Road Co. - Sheryl
