International Sauvignon Blanc Day
We will be dedicating the entire weekend to our signature grape variety where visitors to our Tasting Room will have the opportunity to sample a full flight of Sauvignon Blanc including, Steenberg Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc, Steenberg Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Steenberg Rattlesnake Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Steenberg The Black Swan Sauvignon Blanc 2018 & Steenberg Sauvignon Blanc Reserve 2011. This tasting will be available from Friday 3 May - Sunday 5 May at R 80 per person.

This special breakfast for wine lovers includes a glass of Steenberg bubbly with your choice of signature dishes on the breakfast menu including Chef Kerry’s famous eggs benedict, as well as tea or coffee. Discover your new favourite wine with a classic wine tasting and cellar tour at 11h00 included after your breakfast. The Vintner’s Breakfast at R195 per person is available Monday to Saturday until 31 October 2019 for tables of up to 10 people.

Red Wine Rendezvous - 30 May
Feel the warmth of winter with delicious food at Bistro Sixteen82 with the return of our popular Red Wine Rendezvous evenings. For R395 per person, indulge in 3 courses featuring Chef Kerry's famous corn and coriander soup, slow-braised pork belly with sweet glazed carrots and pan-fried seasonal vegetables as well as a decadent chocolate dessert. As the cooler weather blows in, wrap up in a warm blanket with a glass of your favourite red wine. Steenberg Syrah 2016 is silky smooth with floral aromas and soft tannins and is available for the month of May at R160 per bottle.
For our Wine Club members, our opulent Steenberg Catharina 2016 is wonderful to enjoy now or keep in your cellar for up to 10 years. Enjoy for the month of May at R236 per bottle.

We Celebrate a Year of Sustainable Fish with ABALOBI
One year after Bistro Sixteen82 became the first restaurant to partner with ABALOBI, the small-scale fisher initiative supplying chefs with responsible and traceable fish, the enterprise has grown to over 100 Western Cape restaurants. Chef Kerry Kilpin works directly with the fisherfolk, thereby empowering the communities and making sure the fisherfolk receive a fair remuneration for their daily catch.

From Wednesday, 01 May 2019, Steenberg Hotel and Catharina’s Restaurant will be closed for renovations and will reopen on Monday, 02 September 2019.
A selection of Hotel rooms will be refurbished to create a new look and feel when welcoming guests back in September. Catharina’s Restaurant will be entirely transformed into a refreshed and more youthful space, creating the sensory narrative for a refined dining experience. During the closure Steenberg Vineyards Tasting Room and Bistro Sixteen82 will be open to welcome valued guests to discover the exceptional Steenberg experience.
Steenberg Spa will be closed from 06 - 31 May 2019. We look forward to welcoming you back to Steenberg Spa in June 2019.
