Three Bordeaux blends:
Morgenster Estate Reserve 2015 - 93 points
Atkin said: The best components of the vintage go into this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, and what a vintage 2015 was. This is a ripe, full-bodied style with supple mulberry fruit flavours complemented by oak and underlying acidity. 2019 - 25
Morgenster Lourens River Valley 2015 - 93 points
Lourens River Valley is Morgenster’s second wine, made (like the Grand Vin) with French consultant, Pierre Lurton. This is a very fine, Merlot and Cabernet Franc dominated red with smooth, nuanced tannins, notes of cut grass and graphite and stylish oak. 2018 - 25, according to Atkin.
Morgenster Reserve White 2016 - 91 points
Atkin noted: Picked ‘as fresh as can be’ according to winemaker Henry Kotzé, this is a barrel-fermented combination of Sauvignon Blanc with 43% Semillon. Tangy and lightly reductive, with wet stone aromas and appealing freshness and length. 2018 - 21.
Two Italian Collection reds:
Morgenster Nabucco 2015 - 93 points
Atkin said: Nabucco is consistently one of the best Nebbiolos produced outside Italy. Made with two clones from the University of Turin and grown at 250 metres, it’s light and floral, showing rosehip and red cherry flavours underpinned by savoury tannins. 2018 - 23.
Morgenster Tosca 2015 - 91 points
Atkin wrote: Tosca is a Stellenbosch take on a Supertuscan blend, made from Sangiovese with 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, but no Merlot in 2015. It’s an appealingly fragrant wine, with slightly jammy flavours, some Mediterranean herbs and classic Italianate acidity. 2018 - 23.

Morgenster extra virgin olive oil has for the sixth year been awarded 98% by the authoritative international Flos Olei guide (2019) edition which assesses the world’s best olive oils. 98% places Morgenster once again among the best olive oils in the world and was the highest score given to a South African olive oil.
