CAPE YEARLING SALE UP FIRST FOR 2018
With planning for 2018 in full swing, the first big event on our calendar is the Cape Premier Yearling Sale which takes place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on 20 and 21 January. We are presenting our “Premier Collection” of 5 colts and 5 fillies and as usual Pippa and the team will be available for viewings from Tuesday, 16 January. Visit our website to see the Collection.
GIFT IDEAS IN THE TASTING ROOM
Finding the perfect gift is made easy in our tasting room this year. Our very popular Red Blend Magnum usually costs R150 each, but we’ve got them for R240 for a set of two! For the family member or friend with a sweet tooth, grab a bottle of the 2017 Pinot Noir/Chardonnay paired with a box of Basilei hand-crafted Fudge and Nougat for R100. Our new Above Royalty Natural Sweet Viognier 2017 or the 10 year old pot-stilled brandy are always much appreciated by anyone receiving them as a gift.
SUMMER WINES NOW RELEASED
Don’t miss out on tasting and buying some of our newly released wines, which are perfect for Summer enjoyment. The Pinot Noir/Chardonnay 2017 is already proving a hit and as always our Estate Sauvignon Blanc stays our topselling white wine. For the more serious wine drinker, the Sarabande Sauvignon Blanc Reserve 2015, which was just awarded a 4-star Platter’s and the iconic Luna de Miel Chardonnay 2016, are the wines of choice, especially if paired with food. They are all available for tasting and for sale in our tasting room and we invite you to join us soon.

Avontuur Estate is open daily throughout the year, but we will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day so that our staff can enjoy time with their families.
DINING AT AVONTUUR THIS SUMMER
Having a meal at Avontuur is one of life’s pleasures especially in summer when the patio is packed with diners enjoying themselves. We’re open daily for breakfast and lunch, and for dinner from Wednesdays to Saturdays, with Tuesday evenings joining in from the 12th of December. The menu is available on our website, but seasonal dishes and daily specials keep the regulars coming back for more.
