Eikendal Vineyards and Cellar Master, Nico Grobler, continues on a meteoric rise by bagging yet another incredible achievement: one Double Gold and three Gold Awards at the 2017 Veritas Awards.
The Veritas Awards, South Africa’s oldest and most prestigious wine accolade, awards just a few premium producers with the much coveted Double Gold and Gold medals. The Eikendal Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 received top honours with a Double Gold. The wine is sophisticated and full-bodied with a strong character yet with Nico Grobler’s signature freshness. Newly released, it has already caught the attention of the likes of British Master of Wine (MW), Tim Atkin, who gave it 93/100 points in his recent 2017 South Africa Special Report.
Hot on the heels of the Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 and glowing brightly with Gold Medal status are the Chardonnay 2015, Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 and the Bordeaux blend, Classique 2014.
