Klawer Wine Cellar is the gateway to the Olifants River Valley and offers a warm and friendly welcome to visitors. Just outside the town and a stone's throw from the N7, the impressive facade of the Klawer Cellar dominates. Our cellar’s aim is to produce top quality wines through the limited production of cultivars such as Chenin Blanc, Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinotage. Klawer’s wines include a comprehensive variety of dry whites and reds, as well as sparkling wine, semi-sweet, Late Harvest, Special Late Harvest and dessert wines.
We offer a complimentary wine tasting if you pay us a visit and we also have beautiful green lawns that are perfect for having a picnic or just enjoying a bottle of Klawer wine and soaking up the Matzikama sun.
Celebrate Heritage Day with Klawer Wine and #TasteSunshine
We are very excited to spend Heritage Day with the rest of our community, doing what South Africans do best: drinking wine and having a good time around the braai. We will be hosting a celebration unlike any other, with a braai competition, great entertainment for the whole family, spitbraai and wine specials. You can also enter your team in our braai competition that will take place on the day. The entry fee is R100 and includes a bottle of wine, ice, wood and a drum braai. The entry fee has to be paid before 20 September to ensure your team’s place. This celebration will also be part of wine.co.za’s 21st birthday project #tastesunshine, in what promises to be the world's LARGEST tasting of South African wines. Villa Esposoto Rosé Rocks
We are very proud of our Villa Esposto Rosé. It won a double gold at the Rosé Rocks 2017 wine awards.
Klawer Wines at Klein Karoo Klassique
We had a great time at Klein Karoo Klassique in Oudtshoorn on 11 and 12 August. Visitors and festivalgoers had the opportunity to taste some of our delicious wines. We can’t think of a better combination than soothing classical music and exceptional wine!
