Laborie
Wine Farm will play host to the 2nd ‘Run the Vines’ Trail Run series
on 4 April 2015. Following the
successful launch of the 12 Part Trail Run Series ‘Run the Vines’ at OmmiBerg
2015 runners and their families can look forward to yet another splendid day
out in the Cape Winelands.
The ‘Run
the Vines’ Easter Run will be filled with fun and entertainment for all. Kids will be able to search for some Easter
Eggs on the 5km trail between the vineyards and for the little ones staying
behind there are a safe child friendly play area with face painting, jumping castle
and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
The more
serious runners can participate in the 10km trail run through the vineyards at
the foot of Paarl Mountain.
According
to Annelize Stroebel, CEO of Paarl Wine Routes, “the entries received for the
first event were double than what we expected and we are very excited about the
next trail run over the Easter Weekend.
In true Paarl Spirit the event is child friendly and we always make sure
that the children enjoy the day out in the open as much as the adults. Participants
will get to run through sections of the farms they would not normally see and
will also get to experience true Boland hospitality with various food stalls
and live entertainment at each event,” says Stroebel.
Pre-entries on www.runthevines.co.za are R60 for 5km and R80 for 10km. All runners (5km & 10km) will receive a
medal. Water points will be available
for all distances. The 10km race starts
at 08h00 and the 5km at 08h15.
