Anthonij Rupert Wines
The perfect
summer drink designed for earlier enjoyment, winemaker Dawie Botha describes it
as a very lightly wooded wine, displaying a somewhat shy nose which offers up grapefruit pith and a faint
hint of orange blossom. Ripe citrus and stone fruit flavours make their
presence felt on a full, textured palate. The wine is tangy and fresh with a
distinct twist of citrus zest and some chalky grapefruit too. Lively and appealing
in its approachability and drinkability, the wine is light, perfect to enjoy on
its own or with Orange and honey glazed roast chicken, Terriyaki glazed
seared salmon or a delicious pasta Carbonara with crisp pancetta.
The Protea
Chardonnay 2013 is available directly from the farm or select wine outlets and retails
for approximately R60.00 per bottle.
Situated in the
picture-perfect Franschhoek Wine Valley, visitors to Anthonij Rupert Wines are treated to
these views whilst tasting the Protea range, housed in the exquisite
Terra del Capo Tasting Room; situated at the
entrance to the property, which was designed to showcase the company’s
Italian-inspired Terra del Capo range.
