It is hard to believe we are half way through 2013 already! In the Cape, June brings rain, snow-capped mountains and of course Father's Day, traditionally celebrated on the third Sunday of this month.
Did you know, economists estimate that Americans spend more than one billion dollars every year on Father's Day gifts? Luckily the Blaauwklippen Barouche Restaurant is offering a sumptuous Father's Day menu that will not break the bank, four courses for R350 per person:

An amazing amuse of smoked ostrich carpaccio with herbed goats cheese and a berry compote, baked melanzane stack as starter, a hearty main of either lemongrass and ginger poached Norwegian salmon or braised beef brisket and a decadent chocolate tart for dessert.
