May is the perfect month to unleash the 'foodie' in you, with lots happening on the culinary front across the city and right here on our farm. Delicious new winter menus will be making their appearance so it's a great time to challenge your taste buds with bold new flavours and textures.
Our talented chefs at Catharina's and Bistro Sixteen82 have been busy brewing up new gourmet adventures that kick off this month. We think your palate will be piqued.

Chef Garth Almazan introduces his delicious new Sunday Family Feasts at Catharina's from 5 May onwards, while the traditional buffet Jazz Lunches take a well-earned siesta. With cuisine on a par with hearty farm meals from days gone by on this menu, it's the perfect feast to spoil the favourite lady in your life on Mother's Day (Sunday 12 May).

We've given the latest global trend - pop-up restaurants - a fresh spin with our 'On Invitation' dinner series, as Bistro Sixteen82 Chef Brad Ball will be partnering with six of Cape Town's celebrity chefs to deliver top quality 'pop-up' feasts for adventurous food lovers in the private dining room of our winery, on selected="true"="true"="true"="true"="true" dates between May and October. Each 'mystery menu' will only be revealed on the night, so keep a close watch on our social networking spaces Facebook and Twitter, for updates.

Many of you already keep an eye out for our beautiful Spotted Eagle Owl family who live in the oak trees outside Catharina's restaurant. The latest addition to their brood, two adorable feathery chicks were born late last year, and are well on their way to becoming teenagers now!
