Muratie Wine Estate
Muratie, the historic Stellenbosch estate well-loved for its unique old-world ambience, distinctive wines and warm hospitality, is once again hosting its series of summer music concerts, offering something for every musical taste. And Muratie’s annual harvest festival will be an event not to be missed.
All these wonderful outdoor events are a great opportunity to get together with friends and family and to sit and relax under the estate’s ancient oak trees, soaking up the music while enjoying Muratie’s fine wines and delicious new summer menu. Hamburgers, cheese platters and cold drinks will also be on sale and Muratie’s full range of wines will be available by the glass or by the bottle. All drinks must be purchased on the farm.
Muratie Summer Concerts

Kaleidoskoop, winner of the Huisgenoot Tempo Award for Best Contemporary Album, launched the 2013 popular concert series on 20th January.

The line-up of forthcoming concerts includes:

Date: Saturday 26 January
Band: The Ride, a collaboration between three experienced musicians Andre Leo, Lucas Swart and indie-rock and acoustic folk singer, Lucy Kruger. They will be playing material from Pretty Blue Guns, Lucy Kruger, The Very Wicked and Lua Union, as well as a few select covers.

Tickets: R50 per person

Date: Sunday 10 February
Band: Luna Paige with Schalk Joubert on bass guitar and the amazing Kevin Gibson on drums, will be performing an array of favourite songs from Lunas previous releases as well as brand new material for Luna fans to enjoy!
Time: 14h30
Tickets: R80 per person

Date: Saturday 16 February
Band: Andra, the enchanting talented artist from Namibia, with her strong captivating voice, soul binding lyrics and soothing guitar strings.
Time: 16h00
Tickets: R80 per person

Date: Sunday 10 March
Band: Matt Woosey & José Luis Pardo, highly-acclaimed international blues artists.
Time: 14h30
Tickets: R80 per person

Tickets for the above concerts include a glass of Muratie wine on arrival. Children under 12 enter free. It is preferable to make your booking in advance and pay via eft to ensure a table, but some tables will be kept aside for walk-ins on the day. Muratie can accommodate up to 120 people, and in the event of rain, Muratie will try and accommodate the people inside. Do not miss these shows. What a wonderful way to while away a lazy summer afternoon.

Muratie Harvest Festival

Date: Saturday 23 February
Time: From 11h30

This annual open day at Muratie, a celebratory family event, features good food, fine wine, great company, live music and lots of fun stomping the newly harvested grapes.

From 14h30 prepare to be rocked by The Rites with their music, antics and comedy. This hugely energetic band will keep you captivated with music ranging from folk and blues through to rock and screaming punk.

Entrance is free of charge and visitors will receive a complimentary glass of wine on arrival. Food, wine and cold drinks will be on sale. Festival-goers can choose from Muratie’s delicious new summer menu. Hamburgers and cheese platters will also be on sale and Muratie’s full range of wines will be available by the glass or by the bottle. A vertical wine tasting for 20x people will be on offer at 12h00 at R50 per head.
