De Krans Wine Cellar in Calitzdorp has, for the second consecutive year, been chosen as the official wine supplier to the 19th annual ABSA Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees (KKNK), which takes place from 29 March until 6 April in Oudtshoorn.
De Krans’ exclusive range of wines will be available at all the official festival ‘water’ holes, which will include the River district at the 10 to 10, as well as their Top 40 Stages, Club Al Capone, Civic Centre, CP Nel Museum, YOU Music City and the ATKV Neelsie.

The news was met with great excitement by the entire De Krans team as not only does the festival take place in the heart of the Klein Karoo but it is also the birthplace of these wines. This year visitors can look forward to purchasing De Krans range of quality wines at affordable prices to enjoy at the festival, assuring customers of the quality and versatility of these wines. The recently released and very popular De Krans Moscato Perle Wine will also be available.

De Krans is one of the oldest wine farms in the Klein Karoo, and for the last five consecutive years has walked away with the title of Champion Wine Cellar at the Southern Cape Bottled Wine Show. De Krans produces a wide spectrum of wines, ranging from excellent value for money wines to exceptional quality wines and ports, which over the years has been awarded prestigious accolades, including Veritas and Michelangelo gold and double gold medals, respectively, Best Value Awards as well as 5-star ratings in the authoritative and internationally recognized Platters South African Wine Guide. The Garden Route range of wines is also produced at De Krans from cool climate grapes originating from the Waboomskraal area in the Outeniqua Mountains also situated in the Little Karoo.

The wines will be available for tasting and purchasing at the ABSA Wine Hall during the festival. For more information on the wines and ports of De Krans, and its involvements at this year’s KKNK, feel free to contact Helet or Bessie at +44 213 3314 or email dekrans@mweb.co.za.
