A facelift for Kos & Wyn Hermanuspietersfontein

Tuesday, 4 December, 2012
When Hermanuspietersfontein Wine Cellar started their Food and Wine Market it was the first of its kind. Six years later it’s still the most popular Saturday morning meeting spot in Hermanus! The cellar’s year-end motto? “Time for change”… From 1 December they start the summer seaon with a new name, a new look and feel.
Officially renamed Kos & Wynmark, all is forbetter (www.forbetter.co.za): to provide market-goers with a really lekker food and wine experience. What’s new to look forward to? More food, more to eat at the market, plenty to take away and then more food. Like what? Breakfast, brunch and lunch. Sit down to alfresco eating.

Hand-select your fresh oysters from the oyster barrel and see them shucked in front of your eyes (add a glass of Nr.7 and you’re in heaven). Choose from freshly-made sushi platters, sirloin steak rolls, jaffles, pancakes and quiches, cheese and charcuterie platters, freshly made deli-style sandwiches, salads, shwarma, tapas, olives, the most delicious organic home-made yoghurt products, handmade fresh Italian pastas … lots and lots more and, of course, plenty to satisfy a sweet tooth.

Lekker new is Piet se Brood. You wouldn’t expect the cellar with the longest Afrikaans name in the world to serve pizza, now would you? All made on the premises with fresh toppings to satisfy the whole family’s taste buds.

Alongside an exciting breakfast, brunch and lunch offering you have 13 wines to choose from to enjoy by the glass, the bottle or two. Best of the best: your wine bill is not going to spoil the fun because here you can enjoy wine with your meal at cellar door prices!

Come rain or shine, Kos & Wyn is open every Saturday from 9h00 – 13h00.
