A new team heads up the La Vierge Restaurant, Wayne Spencer and Jen Pretorius. Their main focus will be to ensure 'true food' is served that complement the natural flavours found in the La Vierge wines with a menu that changes on a regular basis. Intrigue and reward will be served daily with a beautiful view.
Chef Wayne qualified at the renowned Silwood Kitchen and has since accumulated 11 years experience, from a luxury game lodge to running his very own restaurant. The highlight of Wayne’ career was working in Monaco for a Michelin star restaurant. Wayne’s style over-flows with passion of fresh, local and “true food” which emphasises his motto, acing the basics.

Restaurant manager Jen is a self proclaimed “true foodie” with a strong love for event management and guest liaison.

“Our combined focus will be on serving locals and far away guests the freshest, local food possible. We want to shout to the world the beauty of our Hemel en Aarde valley, truly a place to fall in love with.”

The focus of our food is simple. From West Coast mussels to fire-grilled rib-eye, chicken curry on the bone and chocolate cappuccinos. We are able to serve fresh, quality food at a very affordable price. For something that compliments the La Vierge wine perfectly, we will equip you with our fabulous “Wine Tasting Kit” consisting of local pates, fresh breads, homemade preserves and the best cheeses and meats the Western Cape has to offer.

We believe in light meals, finishing off with a bang of local coffee and decadent desserts.
