Lomond
Lomond will be an ambassador for South African excellence, when its 2011 single-vineyard Sugarbush Sauvignon Blanc is served to Premier Class passengers aboard SAA on its international flights in May 2013.
The wine, which secured a 2012 Veritas double gold, has been widely lauded for its full-bodied concentrated flavours but also its elegance and balance. Earlier vintages have earned four-and-a-half ratings in the John Platter South African Wine Guide.

The Gansbaai wine farm, just eight kilometres from the sea as the crow flies has established an impressive reputation for its Sauvignon blanc wines made across the stylistic spectrum, earning trophies and medals on local and international shows over the past five years.

The 2011 vintage of another of its single vineyard wines, the Pincushion Sauvignon Blanc, won a gold medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in London and was featured in the 2012 FNB Top Ten Sauvignon Blanc line-up earlier this year.

The winery has also been acclaimed for its Sauvignon blends.  The Snowbush that also includes Nouvelle, Semillon and Viognier and the SSV (Sauvignon blanc, Semillon and Viognier) are regular medallists too. The 2012 SSV took gold at Veritas and silver at the 2012 Michelangelo International Wine Awards.
