Beau Joubert team
We here at Beau Joubert are proud to announce our new flagship wines are ready for you to enjoy. The careful crafting of winemaker Christian Kuun combined with the meticulous care of the vineyards by viticulturist Ian Engelbrecht has lead to our two new flagship wines, Beau Joubert The Ambassador 2009 and Beau Joubert Old Vine Chenin Blanc 2012.
Here is Christians notes:

The Ambassador 2009
“This blend of Merlot, Cabernet and splash of Shiraz was matured for 15 months, in 1st and 2nd fill small French oak barrels. Gorgeous complex layers of ripe currants, dark berries, stewed fruit, subtle spices and mocha flavours linger endlessly onto a mint, pencil shaving and cigar-box finish. Careful oak maturation, along with silky ripe tannins and beautifully integrated acid gives this wine superb structure. This balance allows for a wine that will drink magnificently now but will also age graciously for years to come, under optimal cellaring conditions”

Old Vine Chenin Blanc 2012
“A complex barrel fermented dry Chenin Blanc offering zesty citrus and vivacious tropical Flavours following onto a soft, subtle and creamy oak spice. This lightly wooded Chenin spent 3 months in small oak barrels during which time the age-old technique of battonage was practiced weekly.”
