Villiera
The Veritas Awards is the longest running and most prestigious wine competition in South Africa and is synonymous with excellence in wine. It gives recognition to wines of exceptional quality and the distinctive Veritas symbol serves as an authoritative quality guideline for wine connoisseurs.
Villiera Wines is proud to announce that they were awarded Veritas Gold for the following wines:

Villiera Chenin Blanc 2011:  Veritas Double Gold. This is made in a rich ripe style and has good maturation potential. The Villiera Chenin Blanc completely over-delivers at a retail price point of under R50. This wine has also been nominated for another prestigious award due to be announced early November so watch this space.

Villiera Monro Brut 2007: Veritas Gold. This is Villiera's prestige Cuvee MCC. A complex bottle fermented sparkling wine with extended lees maturation. The Monro Brut 2007 was also awarded a Decanter Gold and Regional Trophy and has been nominated for two other major awards (one local and one international) which will be announced Oct/Nov - proof that this one is not pure luck.

Villiera Inspiration 2010: Veritas Gold. This is a Noble Late Harvest made from predominantly Chenin Blanc (with a bit of Riesling). It is only made in years when conditions favour botrytis (2010 was perfect for this).

Villiera was also awarded 6 SILVER medals for:  Villiera Chenin Blanc 2012, Villiera Barrel Fermented Chenin 2010,  Villiera's Woolworths MCC Vintage Brut 2007, Woolworths Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, Woolworths Merlot 2010 and Woolworths Moscato Light.

See www.villiera.com for more information on any of these wines.
