Holden Manz
Meet the blushing enchantress at Holden Manz in Franschhoek, and get it all this summer with the coming out of a luscious new Rosé.
The maiden vintage of winemaker Schalk Opperman, the new Holden Manz Rosé 2012 has a beautiful salmon pink, peachy tone with subtle nuances of fresh strawberries and cherries and hints of minerality. This ravishing debutant is composed of all four red grape varietals grown on the Holden Manz Estate - Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Franc.

“This is definitely no ordinary Rosé. The acidity and fruit are superbly balanced with lovely depth and weight on the palate and a fresh, lively, crisp and dry finish. It is a perfect summer wine especially on lazy Sunday afternoons. Try it with another Franschhoek gem, salmon trout, and don’t forget the sushi,” says Schalk of this easy drinking, dry Rosé.

A perfect summer apéritif, the Holden Manz Rosé 2012 reveals the refreshing, modish new look designed for the Holden Manz wine collection. The wine is available at select fine wine shops and restaurants, and sells for R55 at the cellar door.

The Holden Manz tasting room is open daily from 10h00 to 17h00.

For a fine Franschhoek meal, visit the Holden Manz restaurant, The Franschhoek Kitchen, which is open for lunch and dinner from Tuesdays to Saturdays, and Sundays for lunch.
