Teasing the senses with contemporary South African cuisine

The award winning restaurant, Emily's, has relocated to the new Clock Tower Centre in Cape Town's V&A Waterfront and officially opens for business today.

The new premises for Emily's has a huge balcony and a special open air deck which offers the most superb view of the Waterfront, harbour and Table Mountain.

The restaurant is elegantly furnished in a laid back colonial style with elements of the African continent adorning the walls. High quality appointments and a warm ‘boere’ welcome await guests visiting Emily's restaurant, coffee shop and wine bar.

Directly opposite, housed in the historic Clock Tower, is the Emily's brandy and cigar bar with a 360-degree wrought iron balcony from which guests have the best view of (and in) the Waterfront. A secret room on the first floor mirrors elegance in which to enjoy a glass of Champagne.

At Emily's restaurant, acclaimed food writer, Peter Veldsman and executive chef, Johan Odendaal, will tease the senses of the discerning diner with their contemporary South African cuisine. Smoking and non-smoking tables are available.

At the Emily's coffee shop, visitors can expect an indulgent light meal and the very best coffee at very affordable prices. And then there's also Emily's Wine Bar. Why not pop in for a glass of wine and a snack such as Eretrean style popcorn! Emily's Wine Bar offers no fewer than fifty wines sold by the glass, including loads of daily specials. A first for South Africa, Emily's Wine Bar offers good health rendering elixirs based on fresh fruit and vegetables and wild herbs from the Karoo, and to complete the picture, cocktails from Cape Town to Cairo.
