Indulge your senses with a selection of world-class quality wines from Seidelberg Wine Estate at the Winchester Mansions’ Grapes, Gourmet & Gallery evening on Friday, 16 November 2007.
The evening will feature an exclusive one-night only glass works exhibition by Red Hot Glass Studio, a unique glassblowing studio situated on the Seidelberg estate.

Guests can enjoy a delectable 5-course gourmet meal at Harvey’s, the signature restaurant at Winchester Mansions prepared by Executive Chef Henry Jonkers. Chef Henry teams up with Seidelberg winemaker, Cerina De Jongh, to create culinary magic with perfectly matched food and wine pairings especially for the evening.

Situated high on the south-western slopes of the Paarl Mountain, the Seidelberg wine farm has one of the most scenic and magnificent views of the Cape Winelands and Table Mountain. The farm was established in 1680 and was given the name De Leuwen Jagt by Simon van der Stel.

Following it’s 300 year tradition, Seidelberg Wine Estate delights visitors from all around the world with their unique, handcrafted wines as well as the farm’s other attractions such as the restaurant (De Leuwenjagt Restaurant) and the glass blowing studio.

For this one evening only, Red Hot Glass Studio will exhibit some of their beautiful glass pieces. The glass blowing studio was opened in 2003 by Liz Lacey and David Jackson on the Seidelberg Wine Estate. Liz and David are the co-ordinators and designers at the studio and the two main glassblowers are Henk Nel and Niklas Frojd.

The Grapes, Gourmet & Gallery evening starts at 19h00 and costs R250 per person, inclusive of a glass of wine per course. To book your table contact 021 434-2351 or send an e-mail to harveys@winchester.co.za
