Within the dim confines of our maturation cellar, the young wines rest quietly in oak, developing their structural complexity and absorbing the subtle characteristics that define the estate identity.
Our estate residents understand the beauty of these winter months intimately, capturing the seasonal changes across the landscape with remarkable creative flair for our annual Homeowners Photo Contest. This competition celebrates the unique perspectives of those who live alongside the vines.
While the barrels rest, we find ample reason to celebrate the rich, robust varieties that thrive so exceptionally well in our specific terroir. The calendar highlights a particularly significant occasion on 23 July, which is officially designated as Shiraz Day. This robust cultivar has a historic home at Diemersfontein, yielding wines known for their deep colour, structural elegance, and characteristic spice.
