The 2022 harvest is just about finished at Zevenwacht Wine Estate in Kuils River in Cape Town. Our teams will soon be preparing the vineyards for autumn.
It is a beautiful time to be in the Winelands when everything is full of light and colour as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale. The days are milder but still warm enough to appreciate time outdoors.
Everyone needs a break to refuel, recharge, and jump back in full throttle. The school holidays and Easter Weekend are nearly upon us and there are also a number of additional long weekends ahead during Autumn, making it a perfect time to escape to the tranquility of the Winelands.
Whether you prefer to while away your time relaxing with a good book, lounging by the pool listening to birds chirping around you, or energetic activities, Zevenwacht has something to offer everyone.
In addition to walking trails on the farm, there is a Downhill Track and cycling on the Bottelary Hills Mountain Bike Trails which our farm forms part of. Guests can enjoy wine tastings or a round of golf at the nearby Kuils River Golf Course, where full facilities are available to guests.
For pampering and rejuvenation, there is the Bakwena Day Spa on the estate. They offer everything from hot stone massages to couple's massages.
Autumn accommodation special
Stay for 3 nights, only pay for 2 nights!
Stay in one of our Vineyard Cottages (sleeps a maximum of 6 persons) or the Self-Catering Chalet* (sleeps a maximum of 8 persons) for three nights, and only pay for two nights!
Your stay includes:
- Bed & breakfast*
- Wine tasting (children’s tasting option available)
- Access to the Hotel pool
- Access to the walking trails on the estate
- Complimentary day pass for the downhill track per family
- Kids play park on the estate
- Bottelary Hills mountain bike trail permits available at R70 per person per day
Children aged 0-2 years get complimentary accommodation, and we charge children aged 2-12 years the child rate.
Restaurant open 7 days a week
Our country-style restaurant, Zevenwacht Restaurant, is open seven days a week from 07:30 - 22:00 (except Sundays,when we close at 17:30).
We have picnic and braai baskets available too, but they must be ordered 48 hours in advance.
*At the Self-catering Chalet, breakfast is excluded.
