Intervitis Interfructa 2013 is around the corner and takes place from 24 to 27 April in Stuttgart, Germany. Many things are changing with regard to the subject of wine treatment and this will be reflected in the new products on display this year.
A high-profile and international conference programme is also scheduled to take place at the trade fair, including an oenological conference. This will focus on alcohol management and new process techniques, while a session entitled Microbiology and Analytics will cover current issues in wine treatment, such as alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, pure and mixed culture fermentations, treatments and additives, development of wine aromas, new analytic procedures, sensory techniques and human sensorics.

Experience and discover Germany
To coincide with Intervitis Interfructa, the German Winegrowers’ Association (DWV) and Messe Stuttgart will, from 21 to 28 April 2013, host two study programmes to German winegrowing regions and schools for the first time.

The study tours are primarily aimed at organised groups, are either five or seven days in duration and are offered in conjunction with a visit to the leading technology trade fair, Intervitis Interfructa. With this, visitors are afforded the opportunity to learn, experience and discover winegrowing in Germany, with one of the two available programmes – “The fascination of Riesling” and “Education and Innovation.”

“The fascination of Riesling” tour, costing €599, takes place from 24 to 28 April and includes visits to famous and innovative German wine estates, as well as a visit to Intervitis Interfructa. This tour also includes excursions to sites of art and culture, like the Mercedes-Benz Museum, and tasting sessions of Riesling wines.

The “Education and Innovation” tour, taking place from 21 to 27 April and costing €849, focuses on the topics of dual education and new teaching and research concepts, with visits to the research institutes and schools in Geisenheim, Weinsberg, Oppenheim and Neustadt an der Weinstraße, as well as the trade fair itself. It also includes a stay at a winegrowing commune in the Pfalz.

The closing date to register is 30 March – for more information on the study
