The Cape Winelands has plenty to keep kids busy this winter, from jungle gyms to animal encounters. Here's your guide to some of the best child-friendly wine farms.

Babylonstoren

Babylonstoren in winter is pure magic – even for the little ones. Kids can wander through the garden paths; pick and eat fruit straight from a tree; meet the donkeys, ducks and chickens; or join in on interactive workshops with themes that range from arts and crafts to gardening. The Greenhouse Restaurant is the perfect spot to pause with fresh juices, warm tea, and picnic-style bites that celebrate the seasons with garden-inspired ingredients. With wide-open spaces, hearty seasonal food, and plenty to see and do, it’s a win for everyone.

Blaauwklippen

One of the oldest wine estates in the country, Blaauwklippen is a family favourite. Besides the popular Blaauwklippen Family Market, there are two massive jungle gyms, a bike park, a Velosolutions pump track, and a zipline. The estate's country-casual restaurant, De Blaauwe Kitchen, serves Mediterranean-inspired dishes, including a kids menu.

With flexible booking options, your little explorers will be well looked after while you soak up the serenity of the farm.
