Perdeberg Wines
Perdeberg Wines, known as The Home of Chenin Blanc™, is proud to announce that its Endura Winemaker's Selection Cape Blend 2024 has been named one of the Top 6 wines at the Perold Absa Cape Blend Competition 2026.

The Perold Absa Cape Blend Competition was launched for the advancement and promotion of blended wines in which Pinotage constitutes a significant component. Each year it identifies six Cape Blend wines whose quality characteristics are so uniquely distinctive that they could have a meaningful impact on the international wine market, to the benefit of South Africa.

Perdeberg's award-winning wine:

  • Top 6 Winner – Endura Winemaker's Selection Cape Blend 2024

Being named in the Top 6 of the Perold Absa Cape Blend Competition is a proud moment for Perdeberg’s cellar team. Pinotage is the heart of this blend, and their dry-farmed, bush vine vineyards in the Agter-Paarl give them fruit with real concentration and freshness. They set out to make a Cape Blend that speaks clearly of where it comes from, and it is wonderful to see that recognised.

The Perold Absa Cape Blend Competition looks for wines that can make a meaningful impact on the international wine market. To have their Endura Winemaker's Selection Cape Blend 2024 chosen as one of only six wines is a strong vote of confidence in Perdeberg's red wines, and in the future of Pinotage-led blends as a uniquely South African style.

While Perdeberg is celebrated for its Chenin Blanc, this result highlights the strength of its red wine portfolio and its commitment to Pinotage and the Cape Blend category.
