This November, Simonsig Family Vineyards invites guests to slow down and celebrate all these things at the Cap Classique Affair, an elegant day in the Stellenbosch Winelands inspired by the theme “Perfected by Time.”
Taking place on Saturday, 7 November, from 11:00 to 16:00, the annual celebration brings together the artistry of Cap Classique, the beauty of the Cape Winelands and surrounding districts, most importantly, the simple pleasure of spending a beautiful day with good people.
Perfected by time
Time has always been an important part of Cap Classique. From the care taken in the vineyard to the patience required for the wine to mature in bottle, it is part of what gives each bottle its character.
Perfected by Time is more than a theme. It celebrates the patience, heritage and craftsmanship behind Cap Classique, while recognising that some of life's best moments become even more special when we give them time.

A celebration of Cap Classique
At the heart of the Cap Classique Affair is, of course, the wine.
Guests will have the opportunity to taste an impressive selection of Cap Classique from some of South Africa's much-loved producers, each bringing its own story, style and interpretation to the occasion.
The 2026 line-up includes Kleine Zalze, Groot Phesantekraal, Hidden Valley, DGB, Koelenhof, Villiera, Domaine des Dieux, Graham Beck, Bon Courage, Laborie, Haute Cabrière, Spier, The House of BNG and Paule René, alongside host Simonsig Family Vineyards.
Together, these producers showcase the incredible diversity of South African Cap Classique and the people, places, and passion behind every bottle.
Food offering
Come hungry, a selection of freshly prepared food will be available throughout the day, including bagels, oysters, pizza and burgers.
Modern vintage
Guests are invited to dress for the occasion in Modern Vintage, timeless glamour with a contemporary twist.
Think elegant tailoring, vintage-inspired details and understated glamour rather than costume.
Set against the vineyards of Simonsig, the look will complement the relaxed sophistication of the day, creating an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and distinctly modern.
An afternoon made for lingering
The Cap Classique Affair is designed to be enjoyed at an unhurried pace.
Guests can expect exceptional Cap Classique offerings, delicious food, live entertainment and DJ sets throughout the afternoon.
GoodHope FM joins the event as media partner, helping bring the spirit of the celebration to its audience across Cape Town and the Winelands.
Adding to the experience, RAM Labels will provide specially produced tasting glasses, ensuring that every pour is enjoyed in glassware worthy of the occasion.
Ardagh Glass will support the event's water facility, adding another thoughtful touch to the day's hospitality.
There will be time to wander, taste, talk and dance. Time to discover new favourites, meet old friends and simply enjoy being together in the vineyards.
